In Memory....
I miss you and love you Mom. Here's to your memory....
If tears could build a stairway,
And memories were a lane.
We would walk right up to heaven,
And bring you home again.

It is now midnight on March 16th so it's been 8 years since we lost you, Mom. Unbelievable. The pain is still as fresh as if it happened just tonight and that won't ever change. But your amazing love for us and wonderful memories are the things that carry me through the sad times. I know that we all miss you more than we could ever express. The quote Sandy posted for you is one of my all-time favorites and I too, found it just after we lost you. It's always stuck with me. Thinking of you, missing you terribly and loving you always...I love you, Mom. Cathy
Sandy and Cathy, your words are mine, too. I'm between sessions at a conference in Orlando, FL right now, so I thought I'd check in on Sandy's blog . . . and as soon as Mom's photo popped up, I started to cry . . . as literally thousands of strangers mill about me on the way to their next sessions. When you look at a photo of Mom, can't you just still feel the warmth of her cheek and hear her voice and picture her giggling?
Mary Ann was a wonderful woman -- and she lives on in her wonderful children. I never had "horrible mother-in-law" stories because mine was fabulous, and I miss her.
Thank you, Susan! Your words are very kind! Kevin, I know what you mean...it was a bit of a shock to see Mom's face as I opened Sandy's blog last night. But you're right, I CAN feel her soft cheek and hear her voice. And I can see her giggling and causing the rest of us to giggle right along with her!! :-) Have a safe trip home!
