My flowers were all planted the week of Mother's Day. And now, right before Father's Day, the beauty of Mother Nature has flourished beyond what I had imagined. Last summer my landscaping project had only begun. I had visions of the different flowers I would plant in each location. I didn't think I would use as many pots after the landscaping had been done but I couldn't resist buying more flowers when I was making my selections. And so the pots were used after all! Maybe to the point of over-kill. But I love them and I couldn't help it! If you would like to see them prior to today, here they are a month ago.

Petunias
The whole mix!
The whole mix!
In front of the porch....
Looking out from the front door. Notice under the white Petunia that there is a volunteer Moss Rose plant growing. I noticed a couple of others amongst the landscaping as well.
The west end of the porch.....
Pansy's overflowing their pots on the deck in back.
The grass was cut only 3 days prior and it looks like it's been over a week already! We've had so much rain it gets out of control!
Look carefully at all the different items. On the right, between the Moss Roses and the Yew, is one single volunteer white Snap Dragon. The Moss Roses have become a blanket on the ground right in front of the mulch. They are such a beautiful form of ground cover. The buds are quite huge!

The Pansy's and Begonia.
Moss Rose buds....vivid colors!
More Moss Rose buds....
I move the pots around depending on the rain days. We had a lot of rain yesterday so I set them out to get their watering for the day. Normally they sit on the porch.
The single Gladiolus plant that has grown, out of 8 planted....
Marigolds.
The Snap Dragon that grew on it's own....
The bed of Moss Roses....I love them!!!!

Speaking of the Korean Lilac, here is what it looked like right before I went to ND over Memorial Day weekend. On the right side are the Day Lillies and Yews. They were still coming into themselves at this point. No blooms here yet either. Now scroll back up and look at them!
I find myself just walking around all these plants in awe of the colors! I wish you all could see them in person. It's simply amazing.....

Wow, that's a lotta pretty flowers! The ones along the garage lining the sidewalk to the front door have really filled in, haven't they? Green thumbs!
Beautiful! Almost makes me wish I wasn't SUPER lazy this year and had actually planted a flower or two....almost ;-)
